How much is shipping? Orders over $150 (with some exceptions) ship FREE! (in Canada ONLY). Shipping rates for orders under $150 are calculated at checkout and you can choose from various rates and services from Canada Post , Purolator or UPS.

Is the item I’m ordering in stock?If you can add it to the cart, it is in stock. In the unlikely event that something you order ends up being unavailable, we will immediately contact you with options, including a full refund. Bikes, frame and some wheel-sets may require more shipping lead time, please contact us to confirm before ordering if you're in a hurry.

Where do you ship from?We're based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and orders are shipped from our Waterloo warehouse.

How do you ship?We ship with Canada Post, Purolator & UPS. Orders which qualify for FREE shipping typically ship with Canada Post as an Expedited Parcel, but may also ship with UPS or Purolator. For Canada Post Expedited Parcels the estimated delivery time to most destinations in Canada is 2-7 business days from the time of pickup from our warehouse. Xpresspost and various UPS and Purolator options are also available if you're looking to have your order faster. F or Canada Post Xpresspost the estimated delivery time to most destinations in Canada is 2-4 business days from the time of pickup from our warehouse. UPS and Purolator shipments are delivered in 1-4 business days depending on the service selected. Can I track my order?Yes! Once your order ships you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number. If you can't find the order confirmation or shipping confirmation email, please check your spam folder as sometimes those emails end up there.

How long before my order ships?Most component orders are verified, processed, packed, and shipped out within 1-2 business days. Bikes, frame and some wheel-sets may require more shipping lead time, please contact us to confirm before ordering if you're in a hurry.

How long until I have my order? Most customers in Canada & US will have their order in-hand within 2-7 business days or less. Some orders and delivery regions may take up to 15 business days. Please note that delivery times shown at checkout and in shipping confirmation emails are estimates provided by the carrier (Canada Post, UPS, Purolator, etc.) and are not guaranteed by Bikecomponents.ca or the carrier. Delays can occur due to weather, customs, high volume periods, or other carrier-related issues outside our control. We are not able to offer refunds or compensation solely because an order arrives after the estimated delivery date. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us and we'll help track it down or open a trace with the carrier.

Delivery Confirmation & Porch TheftWe provide tracking updates from dispatch through delivery. When the carrier confirms Delivered to the shipping address supplied at checkout, the order is considered fulfilled and ownership transfers to the customer. At that point, Bikecomponents.ca is NOT responsible for loss, theft, or damage that occurs after delivery, including packages taken from a porch, lobby, or mailbox.

Shipping Protection (optional add-on)For added peace of mind, you can purchase Shipping Protection at checkout.

If Shipping Protection was purchased, we will replace, refund, or credit orders that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit or after delivery (subject to the claim requirements below).

If Shipping Protection was not purchased, we are unable to replace, refund, or credit for lost, stolen, or damaged orders once the carrier shows Delivered; we’ll still assist you with documentation to help open a carrier trace.

Shipping Protection applies only to the covered order and cannot be added retroactively after checkout.

How to file a claim (protected orders)To keep things fast and fair, please submit within the time windows below:

Damage: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item, inner/outer packaging, and the shipping label.

Loss/Theft: Contact us within 7 days of the Delivered scan (or within 7 days of the last tracking update if never delivered). For theft, a police report or carrier affidavit may be required. Approved claims will be resolved by replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion based on stock availability.

If tracking shows Delivered but you don’t see your package:

Verify the shipping address on your order and check your property, mailbox, and any safe-drop areas.

Ask household members, building management, and nearby neighbours.

Allow 24 hours—carriers sometimes scan early.

Contact the carrier directly to open a trace with your tracking number.

Then email us with your order number and the trace/case ID; we’ll assist where possible.

Please note: For some Shimano products the original packaging is not included, it's often very large and bulky. This significantly reduces package sizes (and to some extent, weight), reducing shipping costs.

Bikecomponents.ca offers a 30-day return policy on all new items. Items MUST be in their original packaging and in the same NEW conditions as you received them. Please inspect your items upon receipt and contact us immediately if any item is defective, damaged or incorrect. We will evaluate the issue and make it right as soon as possible.

Damages caused by incorrect installation or improper handling during installation are the buyer's responsibility. Please have your components professionally installed by a bicycle mechanic if you’re not comfortable with the installation. Please also ensure compatibility before ordering. Keeping returns to a minimum enables us to keep our prices low.

To start a return, contact us or email us at hello@bikecomponents.ca . If your return is accepted, we'll send you instructions on how ship the item(s) back to us. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will NOT be accepted.

•Frames and bikes can be returned in NEW condition for store credit ONLY. No exceptions.

ONLY return NEW items. Returned items which have been installed, used, and not in NEW condition are NOT eligible for a refund. We may, at our discretion, approve a return for a used item and issue a store credit, minus a 15% restocking fee and the original shipping costs, even if shipping was free or discounted at time of purchase.

Item(s) exceeding the 30-day return limit which are still brand new, unused, and in their original packaging can be returned for store credit ONLY.

•Certain items cannot be returned (e.g. special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

•If any items were defective or damaged upon receipt, or if you received the incorrect item(s), we will send you instructions on how to print a prepaid return shipping label to handle any exchanges or refunds ASAP. Please NOTE: prepaid return shipping labels are available for domestic Canadian customers ONLY.

•For standard returns the flat rate shipping costs are $12.95 and are the buyers responsibility.

•Please remember it can 3-5 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post a refund after it has been initiated on our end.
