Shipping and Order Processing

Audio46 ships all orders from the United States, though special orders may come directly from manufacturers outside the U.S. Some items, including turntables and large Bluetooth speakers, may be too large to ship and are therefore sold in-store only. Orders placed Monday through Friday before 4:00 pm Eastern Time are processed the same day. Orders placed after 4:00 pm on Friday or during the weekend are processed the following Monday.

Signature Requirements and Delivery Responsibility

Orders over $200 may require a signature upon delivery because Audio46 cannot waive signatures due to fraud concerns. Audio46 is not responsible for lost or stolen packages when there is photo proof of delivery.

Domestic Shipping

Within the United States, purchases over $25 qualify for free shipping within the continental U.S., including the 48 states and Washington, D.C. Purchases of $100 or more qualify for fast 2–3 business day shipping across all U.S. states and territories, and some items may also qualify for free second-day or overnight shipping. Audio46 is not responsible for delays caused by missing unit or apartment numbers on an order.

Backorders and Pre-Orders

Backorders are items Audio46 normally carries but is temporarily waiting to restock. For backorders, customers are not charged until the item is ready to ship. Any amount shown beforehand is only a pending bank authorization hold that expires after 30 days. If stock arrives after that period, payment must be submitted again, though the customer is only charged once overall.

Pre-orders are items that have not yet been released. Regular pre-orders follow the same authorization-hold process and are not charged until the item is ready to ship. Special pre-orders are charged immediately like regular purchases. These are typically used for high-demand items, carry a 5% cancellation fee, and some may also be marked final sale.

Special Orders

Special orders are products requested from a manufacturer on demand. These are charged immediately like regular purchases and may take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks to arrive, depending on the manufacturer. Because of the wait time and special-request nature of these items, special orders are noncancelable.

Holiday Shipping Delays

Shipping may be delayed during federally recognized holidays. If Audio46 is closed for a holiday, any orders placed that day will ship the next business day. Orders under $100 ship via USPS, and because USPS observes all federal holidays, shipments may also be delayed if a holiday occurs while the package is in transit. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, it is generally observed on the preceding Friday, and when it falls on a Sunday, it is generally observed on the following Monday.

Shipping Issues and Claims

Audio46 will do everything possible to ensure items are delivered correctly and in perfect condition and will work with customers if a shipping issue occurs. If tracking shows a package as delivered but the customer claims it was not received or that it was received with tampering, Audio46 requires a police report for stolen or missing goods before processing a replacement or refund. Suspected lost, stolen, or tampered packages must be reported within 72 hours of the delivery date.

Deliveries to Buildings, Hotels, and Forwarding AddressesFor orders shipped to any address where a third party may accept deliveries on a customer's behalf — including but not limited to apartment buildings, condominiums, hotels, offices, mailrooms, and mail forwarding facilities — the customer assumes full responsibility for package receipt and retrieval. Audio46's liability ceases upon carrier confirmation of delivery to the provided address, regardless of whether the package was received by building staff, a front desk, a mailroom, or any other third party. By shipping to such an address, the customer acknowledges that Audio46 has fulfilled its delivery obligation upon carrier confirmation and agrees that Audio46 shall not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage occurring after that point.

Cancellations and Refunds

Audio46 reserves the right to cancel any order that has not yet shipped because of pricing mistakes, inventory discrepancies, quality control concerns, typographical errors, manufacturer restrictions, or payment-processing issues. Orders that have not shipped and are not special orders may be canceled and refunded, though PayPal orders incur a 3% transaction fee. Shipped orders cannot be canceled. Special orders cannot be refunded or canceled after the card has been charged.

International Shipping

For international shipping, Audio46 may be unable to ship certain items containing lithium batteries because of federal law. The company must declare the full purchase price of all items and cannot mark orders as gifts or undervalue them. International purchases may also be subject to taxes, duties, and additional carrier fees set by the destination country.

Forwarding Services and International Fees

Audio46 is not responsible for damage, defects, material differences, or loss that occurs after goods are delivered to a package forwarder or intermediary. Because of this, the company cannot provide replacements or refunds for shipments taken outside the U.S. by hand-carrying or forwarding services. Audio46 also does not control international taxes, duties, or fees. For USPS international shipments, the customer is responsible for all such charges upon delivery, and USPS First Class Package International Service may take up to eight weeks. For FedEx international orders, duties, taxes, and fees generally must be paid before delivery, except in Canada, where the customer remains responsible for those charges whether the shipment is sent by USPS or FedEx. If an international FedEx package is refused, Audio46 cannot refund the shipping duties, taxes, or fees because FedEx retains those charges once the package arrives in the destination country.

Audio46 offers a 30-day return policy beginning on the day the product is received. To qualify for a return, the item must be eligible under the return policy, remain in like-new factory condition, include all original packaging and accessories, and must not have been registered for warranty. Cosmetic damage may result in restocking fees or may void return eligibility entirely. Missing packaging or accessories may also lead to restocking fees of up to 50% or may void the return. Customers should keep all manufacturer packaging for at least 30 days.

When a Return Is Not Allowed

A return is no longer valid if Audio46 finds evidence of tampering, if the headphone or earphone has been blown out, or if the item shows user-caused damage such as being dropped, spilled on, cracked, or otherwise damaged.

Return Policy Abuse

This return policy is designed for customers who need it in good faith, which is the majority of you! Our regular customers should have nothing to fear.

Audio46 monitors the ratio of purchases to returns, both in terms of quantity and total value, whether through a single account or across multiple accounts. Your first return will not incur a restocking fee, provided the item is in like-new condition and includes complete packaging. However, if you make a second return without placing additional orders, a 10% restocking fee will apply, particularly if the value of your returns exceeds 50% of your purchased dollar amount. We also reserve the right to refuse future purchases at our discretion.

Non-Returnable Products

Certain products are final sale and cannot be returned. These include special orders, separately sold eartips and earpads even if unopened, price-matched purchases, custom in-ear products, limited or special edition items, products meant for underwater use, and any item marked “Final Sale” on the product listing page.

International Returns

International orders may still be returned, but customs fees and taxes connected to the shipment may not be refundable. International orders do not qualify for prepaid return shipping, even when the item is defective, so customers must pay return shipping costs themselves. Audio46 is also not responsible for damage, defects, loss, or material differences once goods have been delivered to a parcel forwarder, intermediary address, or another person handling the shipment outside the direct delivery chain. Because of this, Audio46 cannot offer refunds or replacements for items taken outside the United States by hand-carrying or forwarding services. If a customer refuses to pay customs fees and the package is returned, any shipping and customs charges may be deducted from the refund. In some countries, customs charges still apply even if the package never leaves customs, and if those charges exceed the purchase price, Audio46 reserves the right to bill the customer for the difference.

Refunds

Refunds are issued only after Audio46 receives the returned product. Restocking fees may apply. After the returned item enters the return queue, refund processing typically takes 3 to 5 business days. Once processed, it may take an additional 3 to 10 business days for the bank to post the credit. Refunds are sent back to the original payment method, using the same credit card when applicable. Cash payments may be refunded by check at Audio46’s discretion. Payments made with gift cards are not refunded in cash and instead receive store credit. If a customer refuses delivery, any shipping and customs fees tied to the order will still be deducted from the refund. International taxes and duties are refundable only at the discretion of the receiving country, not by Audio46.

Store Credit

Store credit is issued only after the original product has been returned. Restocking fees may still apply. Once the returned item enters the return queue, store credit generally takes 3 to 5 business days to process. After store credit has been issued, it cannot be converted back into a standard refund. If the original purchase used financing, the customer remains responsible for repaying that financed amount even if store credit is issued. To use store credit on a new order, the customer must be signed into their account before entering checkout.

Exchanges and Replacements

Exchanges and replacements are also processed only after Audio46 receives the original returned item. Restocking fees may still apply. Processing usually takes 3 to 5 business days once the item enters the return queue. If a customer reports that a product is defective, Audio46 may test the item with its audio engineers. If the claimed defect cannot be found or reproduced, Audio46 will not provide a replacement and will instead issue a refund, which may still include applicable fees.

Fee Policy

First-time returns generally do not have a restocking fee as long as the product is still in like-new condition and includes all original packaging and accessories. In those cases, the customer is usually only responsible for the cost of the return label, unless there are extreme circumstances, the product page specifically mentions a restocking fee, or another stated fee applies.

For general returns, customers are responsible for return shipping label costs unless the item is defective or Audio46 made a shipping mistake. A product’s incompatibility with a customer’s personal setup does not qualify for a compensated return label. Defects must be reported within 7 days to qualify for prepaid return shipping. International orders do not qualify for prepaid return shipping, even for defective products. If a shipment is refused, the carrier’s return fee will be deducted from the refund.

Special pre-order cancellations are subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Returns on orders that originally received free overnight shipping will have the cost of the overnight label deducted from the refund. If a customer paid for shipping on the original order, that shipping charge is not refunded. Orders paid through financing are subject to a 5% restocking fee, although that fee is waived if the return is converted to store credit. Items containing tubes carry a 10% restocking fee. All DJ equipment and turntables are charged the original shipping fee upon return.

Returns with damaged packaging or accessories may incur up to a 25% restocking fee. Returns missing packaging or accessories, even when the product is defective, may also incur up to a 25% restocking fee. If a returned bundle is missing items or includes damaged items from the set, the full retail value of those missing or damaged items will be deducted. If a purchase included a free item and that free item is missing or damaged when returned, the full retail value of that gift item will be deducted as well.

Multiple applicable fees can be combined.

Special Orders

Special Orders ship either directly from the manufacturer or from Audio46 to the customer. If a Special Order item is defective, Audio46 may help explain how to obtain a replacement, but the responsibility for replacement and warranty claims belongs to the customer. Any item identified as a Special Order is automatically subject to these terms and conditions without exception.
