When Will My Order Ship?

Our Seattle production facility is as busy as ever. Some of our items will require additional time to complete at our Seattle production facilities before they ship out.

Please note, due to processing times and payment processor policies, payment is collected at the time of order rather than at shipment.

Shipping Methods

We currently use UPS and the United States Postal Service (USPS) for domestic shipments.

For orders shipping to PO Boxes, APOs, Alaska, and Hawaii, we use USPS exclusively.

We ship internationally with UPS Worldwide Saver and in some instances DHL. Duties may be required for international shipments.Please note that orders may still need to be completed. Expedited shipping is does not speed up production time. It only means a faster shipping method when completed.

Standard Shipping

The most economical service that we provide for the 48 contiguous states. When you select Standard Shipping, we will choose a standard shipping service based on the order and the destination. Common standard services include UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail.

All Free Shipping orders ship with a Standard Service.

Orders ship from Seattle, Washington. Shipping times do not include the manufacturing times noted in When Will My Order Ship? above.

Express Shipping

Two to three business days to reach most destinations in the continental United States. Please note: processing times listed above (see When WIll My Order Ship?) still apply to Express Shipping orders. This option is not really necessary for most shipments to Washington State, Oregon or northern California.

Next Day: One business day from departure to arrival. This can be very expensive, but worth it if you want your gear fast. Since we may have to manufacture a product on demand, we do not offer Next Day shipping online. If you're in a rush, please reach out to us at 206-292-2210 or customerservice@featheredfriends.com

USPS Services

USPS Priority Mail: A quick service to much of the United States, with Saturday delivery for many areas. Necessary for PO Boxes.

USPS Express Mail: This is a next-day service to many locations in the United States. To more rural areas, it may take two business days.

International Shipping

A Note on International Orders: You might be assessed customs duties, tariffs, Value Added Tax (VAT). etc., depending on your country. These costs are not included in shipping charges. We are not responsible for any duties on orders. Additionally, we absolutely cannot declare lower values on customs forms or send items as "gifts." Thank you for your understanding.

Most orders arrive 1-2 weeks from the ship date. International shipping may occasionally take longer to arrive due to various factors out of our control.

We want everybody to be able to enjoy Feathered Friends, so we offer shipping to most countries world-wide. We recommend that international orders be placed as far in advance of a hard-deadline as possible, just in case there are delays during transit. UPS International: UPS International is a global express service. Most shipments take about 3 to 5 business days for delivery.

DHL Express International: Most shipments with DHL Express take 3 to 5 business days. However, customs, holidays, and other factors out of our control can cause delays.

Italy Orders: Due to very complicated and stringent import laws, we currently do not ship to Italy. We apologize for the inconvenience

Non Feathered Friends Items: Due to dealer agreements we cannot ship most brands outside the USA. These include but are not limited to Therm-a-rest, MSR, Platypus, Scarpa, LaSportiva, Salewa, Osprey, Mammut, Arc'Teryx, and Petzl. Hilleberg items cannot ship to any European country, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea or Taiwan. If an order set to ship outside the USA includes restricted items, we will cancel those items and notify you.

Holiday Returns

Shop with ease this holiday season! If you need to make a return or exchange for orders placed in November and December, you may do so until January 31st!

If you need to make a return or exchange, you may do so by clicking the "Start a Return" button below. Note the excluded products listed at the bottom of this page.

You will need your order number and the email used for that purchase. Items need to be returned in new condition with all tags.

Return with a Pre-Paid Label

Customers in the continental United States can choose a pre-paid UPS shipping label for their return. You may select this option when initiating your return here

Please note: A flat rate will be deducted from your return depending on the size of the item.

Returns with large items (sleeping bags, down comforters, down pillows): $14.95 will be deducted

Returns with any other items: $8.95 will be deducted

Return by Mail

You may return your orders to us with any shipping provider. You can do so by following these quick steps:

•Enter your order number and email address in our return portal here

•Follow the prompts to generate your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

•Repackage your order, ideally in the box it came in. Be sure to include your RMA number both on the shipping label and within the box.

•Ship it to us. We highly recommend using a shipping service that includes tracking information.

•We will process your return when we receive it. It may take 2 to 10 business days for a refund to post to your account.

Return to our Seattle Store

All eligible orders made online or in-store can be returned to our Seattle store.

Bring your item with its original product packaging and tags (if applicable), along with proof of purchase, to our Seattle store and our staff will be happy to assist.

Exchanges

If you would like to make an exchange, we recommend that you initiate your return first (see the Returns section above), and then place a new order online or over the phone. This is the quickest way for you to get your new goodies, and it ensures that the product you want is available.

Exclusions

Some items may be ineligible for return. These may include:

Some exclusions may apply to closeouts items, which will be noted in the product description

All technical climbing gear (including ropes, harnesses, helmets, carabiners, & slings, etc.) cannot be returned.

Custom sleeping bags, custom bedding, and custom garments are not eligible for return or exchange.

Additionally, purchases made in our Seattle store without an email address cannot be returned online and will need to be returned or exchanged in-store.
