Delivery Returns Privacy Policy Terms & Conditions

Returns & Exchange Policy

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days if the following conditions are met:

•Items must be in their original condition and packaging, returned in a protective postal bag.

•Shoe boxes must also be returned in their original condition, undamaged.

•Tags must remain attached to garments. Hygiene stickers on swimwear must remain in the same place as sold or shipped, and all swimwear sold as a set must be returned as a set.

•Proof of purchase must be provided.

•A returns form must be included for items returned via post.

PLEASE NOTE:

We do not accept returns on underwear, pierced jewellery, face masks, or Storeroom Vintage items.

FINAL SALE ITEMS:

All items labelled 'FINAL SALE' are not eligible for a return or exchange due to change of mind. Faulty items may be eligible for a refund or replacement after assessment by our customer service team.

Other countries: Return by post to our Australian warehouse only. Items must be received within 30 days of receipt.

•Return shipping it at your cost and responsibility.

•We recommend using a tracked method of postage to ensure your return arrives to us safely.

**Purchases made in Australia (AUD) cannot be returned or exchanged in New Zealand.

***Purchases made in New Zealand (NZD) cannot be returned or exchanged in Australia.

Returns Process

Refunds will be processed:

•Within 24-48 hours of receipt where possible

•To the original payment method:

Credit card: visible within 1-5 business days depending on your financial institution

PayPal: visible in your PayPal balance immediately

Afterpay/Klarna/ZipPay: visible in your account within 3-5 business days depending on your financial institution. If you've got a few other items on your order, the cost of the cancelled item will be deducted off future payment instalments

Gift cards/e-vouchers: will be emailed within 1-2 business days

Exchange Process

Exchanges are available on full-price items returned within 30 days, if return conditions are met.

Online: We recommend purchasing the new item and returning the original for a refund. We’ll try to process direct exchanges if stock allows, but this isn’t guaranteed.

In-Store: Available for domestic online orders. Bring the item and order confirmation to any General Pants store.

Exchanges are not available for:

•Final Sale items

•International orders

•Orders made using Afterpay, Klarna or ZipPay

Faulty Items

If your order arrives faulty or damaged, please contact our Support Team within 24-48 hours. We'll do our best to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

You must:

Provide the original receipt (or a copy) or other proof of purchase. If multiple items were bought in the same transaction and the faulty item isn’t clearly itemised (e.g. on a bank statement), this may not be sufficient; and

Return the physical product for assessment (online return or in-store). Photos alone are not sufficient.

We must receive the physical product before we can approve your return request. If the item is confirmed faulty, we’ll refund the return postage - just make sure to keep your receipt so we can process the refund.

Some assessments may require a review by the supplier, which can take 2–6 weeks. We'll do our best to resolve it as quickly as possible.
