📄 Return & Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy for eligible items, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Because many of our products are large, fragile, and shipped via freight, additional conditions apply depending on the type of shipment. Please review the details below carefully.

✅ Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

•In the same condition that you received it

•Unused and uninstalled

•In its original packaging (including pallets or crating for freight items)

•Accompanied by proof of purchase

🔄 How to Start a Return

To start a return, you can contact us at admin@backyardcharmboutique.com .

Please include:

•Your order number

•Reason for return

•Photos (if applicable)

If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item.

⚠️ Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

📦 Parcel Shipments (Small Items)

For items shipped via standard carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.):

•Returns are accepted within 30 days

•Customer is responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective

•A 10%–15% restocking fee may apply

🚛 Freight Shipments (Large / Oversized Items)

Due to the size and cost of freight shipments, the following conditions apply:

•Returns require prior approval

•Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery

•Items must be unused and in original packaging

If a return is approved:

•Customer is responsible for return shipping costs

•A 20% restocking fee will apply

•Original shipping charges are non-refundable

⚠️ If original packaging is not available, the return may be denied.

⚠️ Refused shipments without authorization will incur return shipping and restocking fees.

⚠️ Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect:

•Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

•Email admin@backyardcharmboutique.com

•Include photos of the item and packaging

For freight deliveries:

•Damage must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery

Failure to report damage within this timeframe may affect your eligibility for a replacement or refund.

❌ Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

•Custom or made-to-order items

•Clearance or final sale items

•Used or installed products

•Items returned without authorization

Gift cards are non-returnable.

🔁 Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges.

To receive a different item, please:

•Request a return (if eligible)

•Place a new order

🇪🇺 European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days.

To qualify:

•Item must be unused

•In original packaging

•With proof of purchase

Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective.

💳 Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return.

If approved:

•Refunds are issued to your original payment method

•Processing time: 5–10 business days after inspection
