UK Customers - 'In stock' orders placed before 1pm are posted same-day.

Shipping to UK addresses via Royal Mail 24 is free for orders over £10. For orders under £10 there is a charge of £3 per order. Parcels are sent using Royal Mail 24 of which around 80% arrive the day after posting, the other 20% the day after that.

You are welcome to upgrade your shipping to next-working day. There are two next-day delivery options: 1) Royal Mail Special Delivery which is £9 and guarantees delivery before 1pm next working day.2) Royal Mail Special Delivery by 9am which is £18 and guarantees delivery before 9am next working day.

Please note, choosing the Special Delivery shipping option will not affect how quickly back-ordered items arrive into stock. For example, a back-ordered item which has a note saying it takes 2-5 working days to arrive into stock will still take this length of time to arrive, it will then be posted via Special Delivery and arrive next working day.For very large orders (or very large items!) Parcel Force 48 may be used but this will only be when an order exceeds the weight or size limits for First Class Post.Collections from our Redditch store are welcomed. If you need a specific item in a hurry we recommend checking our website first. If the item is currently in store the button on the product page will be green and say 'Add to Card' (rather than a red button saying 'Backorder'). If you want to reserve an item you can either pay online & select 'In-Store pick-up' at the checkout or call us to pay over the phone. If you don't have specific item in mind we keep a lot of the items we sell in our shop ready to browse & buy .

Meeting Time Requirements

We understand that the majority of orders placed with us will be required for a specific date. If this is the case we would encourage customers to add the date their order is needed by to the Notes section of their payment. Please note Midlands Fancy Dress is not bound to deliver by the provided date.

If the item you have ordered is in stock (ie if it says 'In Stock' in green next to it) it will be posted the same day if bought before 1pm and next day if ordered after 1pm. If all or part of your order is not currently in store your order will usually be dispatched within the time scale provided beneath the 'backorder' button. If for any reason all or part of your order is unavailable you will be contacted within 1 working day of placing the order & offered alternative items or a full or partial refund. Alternatives will never be sent without contacting you first. Please note these estimates do not include Sundays or Bank Holidays when the post office is closed.

Overseas Customers – There are two shipping options for international buyers: International Standard at £10 and International Tracked and Signed at £15. Shipping charges are per order not per item. Parcels should arrive in Europe in 4-10 days and the rest of the world in up to 15 days.

Loss, Delay & Damage of parcels – Midlands Fancy Dress do not accept liability for lost, delayed or damaged parcels. In such an event however, we will pursue a claim on the customer’s behalf and in most cases issue a refund or replacement as appropriate.In the case of a parcel arriving damaged, please retain the item and packaging as they may require inspection by the post office.

Please Note that many of the parcels dispatched by us are too large to fit through standard letterboxes. We therefore advise customers to supply a delivery address where someone will be available to accept the delivery, e.g. place of work or the home of a neighbour or friend.

If your item has not arrived within 7 days , (15 days for international customers), of you receiving an email from us to inform you that your order has been dispatched, we advise that you first check at your local Post Office depot to ensure your order has not been taken there. In our experience, an ‘Attempted Delivery Card’ is not always left when a suitable place to leave a parcel could not be found. As a result parcels have been returned to us without the customers knowing their order was waiting for them. Please ensure you have ID when collecting a parcel from the depot.

International Import Duties : P arcels sent to countries outside of the UK may incur Import Duties. Please note Midlands Fancy Dress is not responsible for these fees & they must be paid by the customer. Should the customer refuse & the parcel be returned to us we will refund the cost of the order but not the Shipping Charge.

Payments & Returns

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Payment Methods

We accept payments by credit or debit card and through Paypal. All debit and credit card transactions are handled by Shopify secure checkout. It is not necessary to have an existing Paypal account or to register with Paypal in order to use the checkout for credit or debit card transactions. Paypal ‘e-cheque’ payments must have cleared before items are dispatched. Midlands Fancy Dress accepts no responsibility for orders delayed by e-cheques.

Please note Midlands Fancy Dress do not record or retain any credit card details.

No order will ever be dispatched until we have received full payment.Collections from our shop can be paid for by cash or credit/debit card on collection, or via our website or over the phone before collection.

Midlands Fancy Dress reserves the right to change any of our prices at any time without prior warning. Should the price of a purchased item subsequently decrease, we are under no obligation to refund the difference or to sell an item at a previous lower price.

Cancelling your Order – Before Shipping

If you wish to cancel all or part of your order before it has been shipped, please contact us as quickly as possible by phone or email (see ‘Contact Us' page). Any money will be refunded. There is no charge for cancelling an order before it has been shipped.

Cancelling your Order – After Shipping

Customers can cancel their order within 14 days of receiving it. You will be invited to return your order in an unopened and unused condition for a refund.

All goods purchased from Midlands Fancy Dress can be returned if we are informed within 14 days of receipt of delivery. Please ensure returns reach us within 21 days.

Before returning an item to us please contact us, by phone (01527 592895) or email ( returns@midlandsfancydress.co.uk ), stating your reason for wanting to return the item or items, whether the item has been used and whether you require a refund or exchange. To ensure your enquiry is dealt with quickly, please have your Invoice number available when contacting us. Please include the invoice which arrived with your order or a print out of either your Order confirmation or Dispatch confirmation email with the returned items; failure to do so may result in a delay in processing your return. Failure to contact us before returning all or part of an order may result in a delay processing your order.Should all or part of an order be returned without contacting us first & the parcel is received by us outside of the 14 day returns period only a partial refund will be offered (please see below).

Please note:

•All orders are checked before dispatch to ensure that all ordered items are included and that each item is complete (i.e. all accessories included with a costume are present).

•All returned items will be inspected.

•The customer has a duty to retain possession of and take good care of items until they are returned to us. All returns must be in their original shipped condition and original packaging. Items should not be used or damaged and should be in a suitable condition for resale. All Original Packaging should accompany the returned item.

•Unfortunately we cannot accept any returns, for exchange or refund, on any item on which sealed packaging (or a ‘blister pack’) has been opened. Typically costumes do not come in sealed packaging & can therefore be tried on.

•We are not a manufacturer and therefore require items are returned whole, including all accessories and packaging, in the same condition you would have received them in & as you would expect to receive them. If the product or packaging is damaged or missing we cannot issue a refund.

•The customer and their selected carrier are responsible for the returned items until they reach us. We recommend that a Proof of Postage is obtained when returning items or that a tracked service is used. The Cost and risk of returning items is at the customer’s expense and Midlands Fancy Dress accept no responsibility for returned items which do not reach us.

•We aim to issue any refunds within two working days of receiving returned items & guarantee that any refunds granted will be received within 14 days. Unfortunately we can take no responsibility for interest or charges incurred by refunds being made outside of your credit or debit card timescale.

•Please return any items to the address you are given when you contact us regarding your return. Please include the invoice which arrived with your order or a print out of your Order/Dispatch confirmation email with the returned items. Items returned without this information may be delayed.

•Any items returned which do not comply with our Refund Policy will be defined as ‘Disputed’ and no refund or exchange can be made. We will provide a reason for this decision and will happily return the item to you within 90 days of our receiving them after which time they will be destroyed.

•Unfortunately we are unable to refund or exchange on items which have not been returned. If a replacement is required quickly we recommend that you place another order for the replacement item and return the original item at a later date.

•If the 14 day time period has elapsed before we are contacted regarding a return but it is still within 30 calendar days of the item being received, as a gesture of good will we will receive items back and refund goods to the value of 70% of the purchase price. After 30 calendar days have elapsed we are under no obligation to refund.

Faulty Items

All our products have a 30 day guarantee where faulty products can be returned to us for an exchange or refund of the original purchase price. This does not affect your Statutory Rights.

If a product is faulty please inform us as soon as possible, within 14 calendar days of discovery of the fault or 30 calendar days after the product is received, whichever is the earlier.

All images of costumes or other products are used with the permission of the Copyright holder. Every effort is made by Midlands Fancy Dress to ensure descriptions are clear and images that are representative and truly reflect the item to be purchased. However Midlands Fancy Dress cannot be held responsible for [a] any perception you may have in product representation and [b] the manufacturer's obligation of a right to change product specification including colour or design at any time and without notice.

It is also important to note that some colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen to the product ultimately received, depending on your monitor screen resolution and colour/display settings. We are aware that our site looks different on different PC's using different browsers and having different colour and screen resolution settings.

Credit Card Security

Midlands Fancy Dress do not have or retain any customer credit or debit card details or information of a similar nature.

Other Points to Note

•Midlands Fancy Dress reserve the right to cancel, decline or reject any order prior to dispatch, without prior notice & refunding any payments in full.

•Midlands Fancy Dress will never send an alternative item to what you have ordered without contacting you. However, many items can be procured from a number of suppliers and suppliers often change their packaging. It is therefore possible that products may have different packaging from the images on this site.

•All goods remain the property of Midlands Fancy Dress until paid for in full.
