Right to cancel

In accordance with your rights on The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods, Or in the case of the Outdoor Furniture and Parasols ranges, physical possession of the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform Stephen Ogilvie Interiors Limited of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the below cancellation form attached to your order acknowledgement email and send it to info@stephenogilvieinteriors.co.uk

Please note that the right to return a product which is not faulty does not apply to any products which have been made to your own specifications which includes any "Made To Order" items.

Effects of cancellations

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you in connection with the product itself. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction. We will withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods.

Unused items must be in their original condition and in their original packaging. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. In this case, any damaged, used, or altered returns or anything Stephen Ogilvie Interiors considers unreasonable will not be accepted.

We will make the reimbursement limited to the purchase price only without undue delay, and no later than

•14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or

•if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.

You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. .

•For the Baobab Candles & Home Fragrances Range and Outdoor Lighting Range: We recommend shipping merchandise for return via DHL for tracking purposes. We also recommend that you request adequate insurance to cover the purchase price of the shipment regardless of courier. We will not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation if a return package is lost, stolen, or mishandled. You are also strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting and keep it safe.

•For the Outdoor Furniture Range and Parasols Range, The cost is estimated at a maximum rate as seen on the Shipping Rates page.

Under no circumstances will we accept the full or partial return of the Products unless we have given you prior written authorisation notice.

Goods that we agree to accept should:

•be returned in their original packaging, loaded on pallets as appropriate and protected from damp,

•be delivered to the carrier nominated by us (for Outdoor Furniture, Outdoor Lighting and Parasols) and

•include a copy of our authorisation notice together with documentation from you that clearly indicates the quantity and description of the Products being returned

We do not accept the following which are excluded from this Cancelation policy:

•Products not being in their original condition and/or outside their original packaging

•Products that are damaged (in any way) or used

•Products that are made to order, custom made (for example furniture with a fabric or frame option other than the base one), bespoke or clearly personalised.

•If you purchased the product as part of an offer then all products within the offer must be returned to us and must comply with this cancellation policy, in order to qualify for a refund.

•Products which become mixed inseparable with other items after their delivery

We always endeavour to satisfy our customers and feel it is our responsibility to supply you with goods that meet your consumer rights. If you have any concerns that we have not met our legal obligations please contact us. Due to product development, actual models may occasionally vary slightly from the details on the website, but remember you may return anything within 14 working days, if you are not 100% satisfied. You must notify Stephen Ogilvie Interiors before returning any items.

This cancellation policy does not affect your statutory rights.

When we will pay the costs of return. We will pay the costs of return:

(a) if the products are faulty or misdescribed; or

(b) if you are ending the contract because we have told you of an upcoming change to the product or these terms, an error in pricing or description, a delay in delivery due to events outside our control or because you have a legal right to do so as a result of something we have done wrong.

In all other circumstances you must pay the costs of return.

Transit damage

If the product(s) received by you have transit damage to the outer packaging then this must be noted when signing the carrier’s delivery note or handheld computer. If it is obvious that the whole set (as applicable) has been damaged during transit then you can refuse delivery and ask for a replacement set to be sent.

Your obligation to return rejected products

If you wish to exercise your legal rights to reject the product(s) you must either post them back to us or (if they are not suitable for posting) allow us to collect them from you. We will pay the costs of postage or collection. Please email us at info@stephenogilvieinteriors.co.uk for a return label or to arrange collection.
