📦 Our Shipping Policy

We want to get your orders to you as quickly and easilyas possible! Here is everything you need to know about how we handle shipping.

Quick & Easy Shipping Estimates

Our shipping is calculated by weight, in line with Royal Mail rates.

See costs instantly: Simply add items to your basket and view your cart to see your shipping total before entering any personal details.

International shipping: The default country is the UK, but you can easily change the shipping country right in your basket to update the cost.

Delivery Times & Couriers

Same-Day Dispatch: We aim to ship orders the same day when placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday.

Standard UK Shipping (Royal Mail):

◦ UK 24 (1st Class): Usually takes 1–2 days.

◦ UK 48 (2nd Class): Takes at least 3 working days and does not deliver on Saturdays.

◦ Please note: These are Royal Mail delivery targets, not guarantees. If your order is urgent, please select a premium Next Day service at checkout!

Next Working Day Delivery: Orders placed before 1pm can be sent for next day delivery. If you are close to the cutoff, feel free to give us a call to ensure your order went through!

Friday Cutoff: Next-day orders placed after 1pm on Friday (or over the weekend) will be processed on Monday for Tuesday delivery.

Our Couriers: Smaller orders go via Royal Mail. Larger or heavier orders are sent via courier (usually Evri).

Free & Tracked Shipping Perks

Orders over £35: Get Free Shipping (UK Mainland only).

Orders over £100: Sent via a fully Tracked Service for extra peace of mind.

Lost or Delayed Parcels

Sometimes delays happen outside of our control. Royal Mail doesn't officially class an item as lost until a certain timeframe has passed (excluding weekends and holidays):

UK: 10 working days

Europe: 20 working days

Rest of the World: 25 days

What happens if my order is missing? We can resend your order free of charge when it is classed as lost. If you need it sooner, we can take payment for the second order & resend it immediately. If the original order never arrives (see timeframes above), we will fully refund the first charge. If both orders end up arriving, we'll provide a freepost address so you can easily return the extra items to us!

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

We want you to love your items! If you change your mind, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange within these guidelines:

• Get in touch: Let us know in writing (email or post) within 14 days of receiving your goods that you wish to return them.

• Return window: We must receive the items back within 28 days of your original receipt. Please include order details and whether you'd like an exchange or refund.

• Condition: Items must be unopened, unused, and in perfect, resaleable condition. (We double-check weights and items before they leave and when they return).

• Return Shipping: You are responsible for return shipping costs and ensuring the items safely reach us. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot refund items lost in transit (you would need to claim directly with Royal Mail).

• Shipping Fees: We do not refund the original shipping cost if your product order total was under £45.00 or if you have opted for a Next Day service.

• Processing: Refunds are issued on the day we receive and check your items and can only be credited back to the original payment card.

What can’t be returned?

• Special Orders: Items we don’t normally stock that we specially order in for you cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged (unless faulty).

• Opened/Used Items: If you have used an item it cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged (unless faulty).

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is damaged or you receive the wrong item, so that we can fix this for you.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 2 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 5 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at info@mailorder-beads.co.uk.

Workshops

• Booking: Your spot is only secured once payment is received. To keep things fair for everyone, we cannot hold or reserve spaces without payment.

• Cancellations & Transfers: Workshop tickets are non-refundable and can only be transferred to other dates if we can fill your space/s. However, you are more than welcome to send a friend or family member in your place.

• The Reserve List: If you can’t make it, let us know as early as possible. If we can successfully re-sell your spot to someone on our waiting list, we will happily transfer you to a future workshop (though this isn't guaranteed).

• Our Cancellations: If we must cancel a workshop (e.g., tutor illness), you will be offered a full refund or an exchange for another date.
