Returns Policy for Website Orders and Distance Selling Regulations

Applicability for Website Customers:

This section applies exclusively to orders placed through our website. Your order falls under the Consumer Contract Regulations unless:

•The item has been customised or made to your specifications.

•You have physically examined the product in one of our showrooms.

Cancellation Procedure:

If the Consumer Contract Regulations do apply to your order, you have the right to cancel your purchase. To do so, you must notify us in writing either before the item is delivered or within 14 working days starting from the day after delivery. You can send your cancellation notice via email to customerservices@thedesignerrooms.com or by post to The Designer Rooms, 1st Floor Marathon House, Olympic Business Park, Dundonald, Ayrshire, KA2 9AE.

Responsibility for Returned Items:

Upon delivery, you become the owner of the item(s) and are responsible for any loss or damage. Please maintain the item(s) in an 'as new' condition. We recommend retaining all original packaging to minimise the risk of damage during return transit.

Method of Return:

It is your duty to return the items to our central delivery depot in good condition. You must use a signed courier service that offers parcel tracking and insurance coverage for the full value of the item(s). If you are unable to arrange for a return, we can collect the items during standard business hours (Monday to Friday). Please note that a collection fee may apply, up to 20% of the original order cost, with a minimum fee equivalent to the original delivery charge.

Special note on Mattresses:

Mattresses are delivered sealed in plastic wrapping for inspection. Any unsealed mattress is considered used and is not eligible for return.

Refunds

Upon successful cancellation, any payments made will be refunded using the method of payment you originally used. Refunds are usually processed within 14 working days.
