In-stock items typically ship within 7 business days. Custom items may increase lead times for which a customer service representative will contact you to confirm details. Please note lead times provided on our website at the time you place your order are estimates only.

Once your order is on the way, you will receive a confirmation email from our team along with your receipt for the items in transit. Please call or email us immediately if you notice any discrepancies with your order.

Most deliveries will be handled by FedEx or UPS, though some shipments may be sent with a freight carrier. With the tracking provided, you will be able to see the estimated delivery date so that any arrangements can be made to prepare for delivery.

While we strive to minimize any additional costs, please note that DÉCA is not responsible for any extra tariffs, taxes, or fees that may arise from your purchase.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled, rerouted, or redirected. Please do not refuse the delivery of any shipment as this may result in additional restocking fees, the loss of the product, and may void any possibility of a refund. Refused deliveries will incur the roundtrip shipping costs.

For the proper handling of any issues that may arise, please keep all boxes and packing materials until the product is confirmed to be in good working order.

Backordered items will be shipped as soon as they are back in stock. We will notify you by email or phone in the event of a delay.

Returns are accepted within 14 days from the date of delivery for uninstalled, non-custom fixtures that remain in their original, complete, and unaltered packaging, and are in resalable condition. Packaging materials, hardware, and documentation must be included and intact.

Restocking Fees

Unless the item is deemed damaged or defective:

•Lighting & décor: subject to a 20% restocking fee

•Hardware, small accessories, and select suppliers: subject to a 50% restocking fee

•Returned items that arrive incomplete, repackaged, or not in resalable condition may incur additional fees or may be refused.

These guidelines help us stay consistent with supplier rules, manage cross-border logistics responsibly, and ensure fairness when returned items can only be resold as open-box.

Cross-Border Return Restrictions (Important)

Certain U.S.-based suppliers, including Visual Comfort and VC Signature, do not accept returns originating from outside the United States.

•VC items shipped to Canada are Final Sale, even if unopened, as per the manufacturer’s rules.

•VC items shipped within the United States may be eligible for return following Visual Comfort’s return policy.

Due to supplier restrictions on cross-border returns, DÉCA may not be able to approve returns for certain U.S.-sourced brands unless the item is defective.

Return eligibility will always be confirmed with the supplier before an RMA is issued.

Return Authorization (RMA Required)

All returns require prior authorization.

DÉCA customer service must issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before any item is shipped back.

Returns sent without an RMA:

•Are ineligible for a refund, and

•Will be returned to the customer at their expense

Shipping & Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for:

•All return shipping costs

•Providing DÉCA with the tracking number for the return

•Ensuring the item is properly insured, as the customer retains ownership and liability until the item is received and inspected

Shipping charges, duty, brokerage, and any additional fees associated with the return are non-refundable.

Final Sale Items

The following items are Final Sale and cannot be returned or refunded:

•Sale or promotional items

•Custom orders, made-to-order products, or non-standard finishes

•Items sourced from suppliers who do not accept cross-border returns (e.g., Visual Comfort for Canadian orders)

•Any product marked Final Sale at purchase

Refund Processing

Refund processing will begin 7–10 days after the returned item is received at our warehouse and inspected for compliance with our return standards.

Depending on the case, refunds may be issued to:

•The original payment method, or

•A store credit

Please allow an additional 5–7 business days for the refund to appear on your statement once processed.
