Order Processing

Due to the made to order nature of our products, we work to processing times around 10-14 business days from the moment we receive an order. Please note, we currently only ship from our rural workshop to mainland UK, however, if you are further afield and would like to purchase from us, please contact us and we can quote for the additional cost of shipping to your location.

Small to Medium Parcels

For small to medium sized products (up to to 30kg) we primarily use the delivery services of DPD or Parcel Force.

Pallet Service

For large products greater than 30kg or 1.5m in length we used one of our preferred local partners that operate a dedicated courier service nationwide. This option provides drop off only at your location. As the items will be wrapped and loaded on a pallet prior to delivery they cannot be manoeuvred into your property and so will be left in a mutually convenient place such as a carpark, driveway or garage if access with a pallet truck is possible. If there is potential difficulty with delivery please contact a member of our team to discuss your specific delivery requirements as we would be happy to help where we can. With our no quibble returns policy, if you are not 100% happy with your order you can return it within 30 days. Please be aware any return costs are covered by the customer.

To make a return, simply follow these steps:

1. Request a return form by contacting us at hello@themodernrustic.co.uk . Once received, print off and complete. ( Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.) Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: The Modern Rustic, Yew Tree Cottage, Rostherne Lane, Rostherne, Cheshire WA16 6SB

2. Repack the items securely, using the original protective packaging where possible, to avoid any damage in transit. Please make sure to include the completed return form inside.

3. Once it's ready to go, book your preferred delivery service then send the parcel back to our workshop at the address provide on the return form.

4. As soon as your order is back with us and undamaged, we will promptly issue the refund.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

ExceptionsUnfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@themodernrustic.co.uk.
